Lil

Last night we had our first show of the season at Journal Pavilion. It was the earliest in the year we've ever done a show there and Lil Wayne was feeling the effects. As each of the opening acts finished they quickly ran backstage to warm up and as LW started to intro his song "Fireman" he chose not to use his usual intro line "Is it getting hot in here?" for the more ap "It's f$#@ing cold out here, so I brought the heat." The fans didn't seem to care though as they screamed and danced their way through 3 1/2 hours of today's finest hip hop artists. A notable highlight was watching Lil Wayne and T Pain trade lines, jokes, and general one-up-manship near the top of LW's set. The crowd went crazy for the hits and even loved the "old school" medley but I believe everyone was especially excited when LW performed a couple songs from his upcoming album. It's looks like "Weezy" will be thrilling crowds for years to come.
