With twenty years experience as a technical director for concerts throughout the world, Steve took his initial investment and
experience and founded Audio Excellence, now New Mexico's largest production company. Leaving his homeland of New Zealand and heading for the US over 13 years ago, Steve’s experience ranges from directing production for concert and theater events as a technical director, front of house engineer, monitor engineer, stage manager, production manager and owner, operator and manager of a successful local production business. Steve has also had many years experience as a composer, professional guitar player, producer and studio engineering, giving him ample interaction and experience with all sides of the music and production business.

David Buehler
Director of Operations/Technical Director

David brings over ten years of in-depth technical production and logistics experience to Audio Excellence. His background is well versed in technical event production and coordination. David's expert eye assures attention to detail, safety and production value. His experience is derived from years of audio systems engineering, design, Front of House and monitor engineering, as well asmanaging large-scale event production. He has a heavy background in industrial video production, as well as theatrical lighting, rigging, and staging, combined by years in live sound. David is currently one of only 5 certified Stageline/MSR operators in New Mexico. His position with Audio Excellence is to oversee all operations, managing several shows weekly, many of which are the nation's largest touring acts. David possesses a unique ability to understand and coordinate multiple production tasks at once, making him a unique asset to Audio Excellence.

Marsh Shamburger
Sales & Accounts Executive

As a professional musician touring internationally, Marsh is well versed on the needs of the artist for any major event. Having worked as a producer, engineer in both live and studio environments, he is well suited to handle multiple aspects of any large or small scale event. Marsh is educated with a degree in composition and performance from Baylor University and is a signed recording artist and composer having placed music in CSI:Las Vegas, Road Rules, Real World,HBO:Inside the NFL and many more. His attention to detailed artist advancement eliminates many problems that show up on event sites. At Audio Excellence, Marsh oversees each client account and ensures that each receives the utmost care and service possible.

Matt Woodside
Production Coordinator
Matt has an extensive background in concert, theater, cruise ship productions and video editing. He is only one of 5 Sategline/MSR certified operators in New Mexico. Matt is also experienced in handling full event productions, including advancing production with artists and clients. He works regularly as a Front of House engineer, monitor engineer or System Engineer on many of our productions. Matt's position with Audio Excellence includes verifying all events are fully prepped and completely advanced for success. He is also responsible for managing our Hire Track inventory management system, as well as scheduling preventative services and arranging for any additional sub-hired equipment. Matt's knowledge, experience, thoroughness and ability to multi-task daily operations helps Audio Excellence to run smoothly on a day to day basis.

Heath Dauberman
Backline / Warehouse Manager
Heath moved to Albuquerque in 1999 and became in integral part of the music scene as a top tiered backline technician and musician. Heath joined the Audio Excellence team after a decade of experience with pro audio and backline production. Heath has years of experience in the areas of lighting and corporate production as well. He has spent years of advancing various productions here in New Mexico, providing appropriate equipment for touring acts as well as various other production related events. His tenure as a touring musician and co-founder of an Indie record label, gives him the diversity to relate to a variety of aspects in event production. He works with the Operations Department to supervise all warehouse operation and day to day function in preparation for the numerous weekly shows and events through Audio Excellence. He oversees and manages the loading and preparation of each integral piece of equipment needed for the execution of an event or show, becoming essential to the success of each Audio Excellence event or production.

Simon has been an engineer for Audio Excellence for the past several years after having been the house engineer for many years at the Kimo Theater, as well as many other reputable live sound and theatrical venues throughout the region. He brings his years of experience and reputation as one of the top engineers in the region to the Audio excellence Team.

Patrick Coffield
Backline / Stageline Operator / Rigger
After years of experience as a certified rigger and theatrical technician, Patrick joined the Audio Excellence Team as a seasoned production veteran. After completing certification as an MSR/Stageline operator, Patrick now joins 4 other certified operators in the state of New Mexico and manages many of our mobile staging events. Patrick also is one of our leading backline and audio technicians, as well as providing many of our on-site rigging needs.

Charmayne James

A graduate of the Conservatory for the Recording Arts and Sciences, Charmayne finished her live internship with Audio Excellence and has now become an integral part of Audio Excellence in warehouse preparation and repair for each show, as well as assisting as a technician on site for various shows and productions.
